Biography
Kristi Penrose is an attorney at Citadel Law whose extensive academic background spans law, public administration, business, taxation, and international studies.
Ms. Penrose is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Global Anti-Trust and Economy at George Mason University and recently completed an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law. She also earned a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Public Administration from Wayne State University, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. This unusually broad foundation — bridging legal practice, economic policy, and public administration — informs the perspective she brings to every client matter.
Her academic and research interests include international relations, public policy, anti-money laundering compliance, taxation, immigration, and global economic affairs. Throughout her career, she has authored and presented research on topics including immigration policy, counter-money laundering efforts, China’s foreign policy and soft power, and airport security management.
Fluent in Indonesian, English, and Malay, with professional proficiency in Dutch and working knowledge of Italian, Kristi brings a broad international perspective to her work serving clients and their families.
